I´m visiting Stockholm together with my wife at the moment, spending quality time together with my daughter Sara, her boyfriend Johan and my bonus-daughter Emma and her boyfriend.

Moderna Muséet offers two really good shows at the moment; one with Turner-Monet-Twombly and another one with a vast collection of photographs from a wide span of time. I can sincerely recommend a visit! We have also visited my friend Larry Farber in his awesome store (one of it´s kind!) LARRYS CORNER. Larry is such an enthusiast and imports numerous CD´s, films and books of interest fr4om all over the world. He is a true source of inspiration!

W.G Sebald (1944-2001)
The name of this blog derives from "Austerlitz" a simply wonderful book by the novelist & poet W.G Sebald (1944-2001), in which he describes a haven and retreat in Wales; a whitwashed house by the shore. Andromeda Lodge. When I was younger I learnt a method created by Swedish psycologist Lars Erik Uneståhl, based on the creation of inner, mental "rooms". You could say that the house by the shore is such a place. A kind of sanctuary.

After a visit at Putsburough Sands. Devon. England in 2004, I wrote instrumentals and songs inspired the beauty of the shore, the peaceful landscapes and the old slumbering villages. One of those efforts is "Andromeda Lodge". In a near future, I´ll tell you more about how and why I´m so inspired by pastoral England. The next image, is a portrait of Sebald who tragically passed away in a car accident outside Norwich 10 years ago.

I have added links to Monte Nordstrom´s homepage and Riki Buckinghams´s blogg. Two extremely talented songwriters and musicians belonging to different generations, but with much in common never the less. Please visit the sites and read about their life in music; also take part of songs and clips. Now and then I will drop you a line concerning my friends with whom I have participated in different projects and will continue to do so in the future.
This is one of three blogs I have created; the others beeing "The Art of Peter Gustavsson" and "Clutterbug". The first mentioned will be a quite serious presentation of my paintings and works in other techniques, the other one simply a blissfull exploration of all kinds of interests that I indulge in now and then. I will link the blogs and pages as soon as I´m ready to launch them properly.

For today; just a picture of yours truly taken in New Forest. England during our honeymoon earlier this year. Lena thought ( and so do I..) that it conveys a lot about my personalty; an elderly bard who sometimes disapears in his rather romantic imagination. However, I allow myself that when I write songs. My paintings are often of a more existential kind.
